A predator trap is a pit of mud or tar that is usually mistaken as a body of water or a part of the ground. Predators may become attracted to animals struggling to free themselves from the goo(or atleast the carcasses of trapped animals)& may go after them inorder to eat the trapped animals, only to find themselves getting stuck in it as well. Typically, the number of the predators greatly surpases the prey animals(hence the name)& most of them are unable to unmire themselves before death from starvation, heat, exhaustion or drowning. The list below contains examples of the most famous(& notable)of these death pits.
